Concrete Vibrator Selection: 50, 58, 60, 65 and 80 mm

Concrete Vibrator Selection: 50, 58, 60, 65 and 80 mm

Concrete vibrator selection should consider more than motor power. Poker-head diameter needs to fit reinforcement spacing, concrete-section dimensions and the available access inside the formwork.

50 mm

A smaller head can be easier to move through tighter reinforcement or restricted formwork areas.

58 and 60 mm

These mid-range diameters can suit a range of wall, column, foundation and general concrete applications depending on reinforcement spacing and access.

65 and 80 mm

Larger heads can be considered for larger concrete sections, but they may not physically pass through dense reinforcement or narrow formwork. A larger diameter is therefore not automatically the better choice.

What Determines the Correct Diameter?

  • Reinforcement spacing
  • Concrete-section dimensions
  • Access inside the formwork
  • Concrete volume and working method
  • Hose and cable working distance
