Special Locks
Special Locks cover door-lock applications that require a non-standard case, latch, bolt, cylinder or installation arrangement. Similar-looking locks can differ significantly in geometry and mechanism.
Use the exact product code, door material, lock-body dimensions, faceplate, cylinder type, latch/bolt arrangement, number of throws and technical drawing when selecting a replacement.

ContinueWhat Is a Special Lock?
This group is intended for applications where conventional room or standard cylinder mortise-lock geometry is not sufficient.
Why Product Codes Matter
Small suffixes in a model code can indicate a different body, bolt or cylinder arrangement. Match the complete code whenever possible.
Technical Drawing and Measurements
If the model code is unknown, compare case depth, faceplate, cylinder centre, spindle centre, bolt positions and fixing holes.
Cylinder Compatibility
For cylinder-operated designs, verify profile and length against door thickness and lock body. See Kale Lock Cylinders for related cylinder options.
