WHAT IS PLYWOOD?

Plywood is used in the construction industry and is billed as film-covered plywood. Since it is a water-resistant and high-strength product, it is an ideal material for concrete molds and unplastered formwork systems. It is also used for flooring and other purposes.

Plywood, which is an English term, means film plywood in our country and is called by different names such as playvud, bleymut, pleymut, polivut. The most important feature that distinguishes plywood from other products is that it has at least 120/g phenolic kraft paper on it.

It is manufactured from durable trees such as pine, beech and birch. Plywood outer surfaces are covered with kraft paper impregnated with phenolic resin. It is manufactured in 7, 9, 11, 13, 15 layers of paper.

It is a lightweight material with mechanical durability. It reduces plastering costs in construction and saves time in formwork laying.
