The System Sensor WFD40 is a water flow detector for use with 4" pipe.

The System Sensor WFD series is compatible with schedule 10 to 40, 2" to 8" steel pipes and can be mounted in a vertical or horizontal position.

The WFD series consists of a rugged, NEMA 4 rated enclosure. Designed for both indoor and outdoor use, the WFD series operates in a wide temperature range from 32 F to 120 degrees F.

UL-listed models are equipped with tamper-proof cap screws to prevent unauthorized access. Inside, two sets of SPDT (Form C) synchronous switches are housed in a durable terminal block to ensure reliable performance.

The WFD series includes a mechanical delay feature that minimizes the risk of false alarms due to pressure surges or trapped air in the sprinkler system. Additionally, the mechanical retarder's unique closed design is immune to dust and other contaminants.

The WFD series is designed to simplify installation. Two channel openings allow easy connection to the local alarm system. The delay mechanism and dual SPDT switches are field replaceable.
