When evaluating used panel formwork, panel quantity and price are only part of the picture. Steel-frame condition, facing surface, weld areas, panel geometry and accessory compatibility together indicate the overall condition of the system.

Steel-Frame Condition
The steel frame forms the main structural body of a panel. Bending, impact damage, visible deformation and heavy corrosion can affect panel condition and alignment. Corners and joint areas are especially useful when evaluating how well panels can connect.
Weld Areas
Welds can reveal previous repairs. Multiple or irregular repair areas may indicate a history of damage. Maintaining panel geometry is important for consistent system connections.
Facing Surface
Wear, holes, crushed areas, edge damage and surface deterioration show the condition of the existing facing. Facing can be replaceable, but its current condition still influences the value of a used panel.
Panel Size and Geometry
A used stock can include panels of different heights and widths. The available size distribution should match the intended project layout because panel combinations directly affect the final formwork arrangement.
Locks and Accessory Compatibility
A used panel-formwork system includes more than panels. Locks, corner parts, brace connections and other accessories need to match the panel family. See Panel Formwork Components for an overview.
Missing Parts and Total System Scope
A large number of panels may still require additional locks or connection components before they form a complete working set. Accessory scope should therefore be considered together with panel quantity when evaluating total cost.
