Telescopic props are height-adjustable steel supports used below slab and beam formwork. An inner and outer tube, adjustment mechanism and related components allow the prop to work within its intended height range.

Main Components
Typical parts include the inner and outer tubes, adjustment mechanism, nut, locking hook and the top support connection. A flat head or compatible U-head can be used depending on the arrangement.
3–5 m Product Classes
The current product range includes 3 m, 3.5 m, 4 m, 4.5 m and 5 m classes. These are product classes; the actual closed and open working range varies by model.

Selection Factors
Prop class, required working height, tube configuration, head type, prop spacing and the complete formwork loading arrangement work together. Load capacity is not one fixed value for every telescopic prop.
