Coating Colors
Coating Colors is a guide for comparing wood, laminate, lacquer, aluminium, panel and other decorative finishes that influence how a steel door fits its architectural setting. Not every finish or color is available for every door model or environment, so selection should be checked against the technical options of the chosen door.
Use this steel-door finish, color and application compatibility guide to compare surface types by door model, architectural style, interior or exterior use and available color options.

ContinueFinish Type and Color Are Different Choices
The finish describes the surface material or coating system, while color describes its visual tone. Wood grain, lacquered RAL colors and metallic finishes can make similar colors look very different.
Wood Finishes
Wood and natural-wood-style surfaces can show grain, pattern and tone variation. With natural materials, minor visual differences between a sample and the finished door can be part of the material character.
Laminate and Exterior Use
Suitability of laminate or compact surfaces for exterior exposure should be confirmed for the selected door model. Sun, rain, humidity and temperature changes should be considered alongside appearance.
Lacquer and RAL Colors
RAL references can simplify architectural color coordination. However, screens and printed catalogues may not reproduce the finished surface accurately, so a physical color chart is preferable for final selection where possible.
Aluminium, Panel, Glass and Stone Finishes
Availability of aluminium, panel, glass or stone-character finishes depends on the door model. Consider outdoor exposure, accessory colors, weight and the overall façade/interior design.
Match Finish to Door Model
Different steel-door models can support different finish groups. Select the door design first, then confirm the available coatings and colors for that model.
