T and L tie rods are specially shaped formwork connection components. In the current catalog, both are described for face connections in multipurpose panel systems used for column formwork.

Main difference
The visible difference is geometry, but correct selection depends on the panel system, hole layout, corner connection and the manufacturer's assembly detail. They should not be treated as automatically interchangeable.
Compared with a straight tie rod
A standard threaded tie rod is the general linear connection between opposing formwork faces. T and L components serve specific panel/column connection geometries.
Selection checklist
Confirm the panel system, connection detail, component dimensions and compatible nuts/plates. Inspect used components for bending, weld damage and thread condition.
